The Lucian Singers
The parish choir, affectionately known as the Lucians is a robed, mixed voice choir of c.25 singers directed by Christopher Wrench. The Lucians attract parishioners from within and beyond the Parish boundaries.
MEMBERSHIP is open to adults of all ages. Whilst good music reading skills are vital to achieving our weekly performance obligations, we also welcome less experienced singers seeking a friendly environment in which to build a knowledge of some of the world’s most beautiful sacred music.
Christ Church warmly welcomes spiritual seekers at any stage in their journey, and this includes as members of the choir. All inquiries about membership of the choir should be directed to the Director of Music.
The choir SINGS WEEKLY at the 9.00am Sunday Eucharist (from 1 February – 25 Dec) and on major Feast Days of the Christian calendar.
REHEARSALS take place on Sunday at 8:10am (prior to the 9am service) and 10:30am-12pm (following the service).
The choir has an annual weekend camp in September and also performs in other parishes/cathedrals from time to time.
The choir performs a wide range of traditional sacred music of the English and Continental traditions. Click here to view the current MUSIC LIST.
